Safety in the Park

Primary 7 attended the annual Safety in the Park day at Arthurlie House.  We learned a lot about how to stay safe as we grow up and how to become more independent in high school.

We were being investigators and figuring out what happened  in the car crash.

We were talking to a man from Scottish Power about how to save energy and the type of things he does every day in his job .

This was a lady who deals with rubbish and animals that get stuck in it, like giant rats.

How much sugar is in our favourite drinks? We were shocked to learn that some are more sugary than we think!

We were trying on drunk googles and TRYING to do activities . It was equivalent to drinking 20 bottles of beer !!!!!

We watched a video about cyber bullying . We learned what to post on social media and what not to post .

Stranger Danger.
I think this was everyone’s  favourite activity.  When we came out of Arthurlie  House  we were told to turn one left and the instructor would  be standing there  but someone else was standing there and was taking us away from Arthurlie House. We were getting suspicious ! Then a Police women shouted us so we ran to her.  She told us we were to turn to the left and the lady was kidnapping us. We found out how easy it was to be fooled!

We all had a great day and learned a lot about how to stay safe. I’m sure we will all think about this experience in the future.
