As it\u2019s Halloween next week we have a few themed learning experiences around the nursery. The children asked for a Halloween story and they chose Room on the Broom. \u201c It\u2019s my favourite story\u201d \u201c I wish I could fly on a broom in the sky.\u201c \u201cI like the dog best in this story.\u201d<\/p>\n

The children used shapes to make spooky patterns \u00a0and enjoyed mixing potions to use for magic spells. \u201c It\u2019s fancy orange water I, wonder if the water will change to green If I put a green potion into it\u201d<\/p>\n

\nWe made up a letter hunt game using familiar Halloween packaging. \u00a0The children looked for a letter on the packaging then were encouraged to sound it out and mark it off their pumpkin worksheet.

\n\u201cI can see a v that\u2019s my Mums name begins with\u201d \u201cpumpkin starts with a p\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMonster begins with an m look I have found it on my sheet\u201d \u201c I have found lots of letters \u201c \u201c S for sweets, mmmmmm I do like sweets!\u201d<\/p>\n
