We can’t believe its the end of week 4 of our summer term!\u00a0 Time definitely flies when you\u2019re having fun \ud83e\udd29<\/p>\n

This week we have had home made cupcakes and flapjacks for a delicious snack along with some lovely fruit. Our star bakers have been very busy learning how to measure in weight rather than scoops. They used the scales to measure the ingredients looking at the numbers as they go up.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a 2 and an 8 and a 5\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat does the \u2018g\u2019 mean?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know, it means grams\u201d.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nCheck out our fabulous clay pictures! We are using our hand muscles to manipulate the clay into different shapes and create our own ideas, while developing our fine motor and early writing skills.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u201cI made letters with clay\u201d.
\n\u201cMines is a spidey web\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nThe sun did make an appearance for a little while, just enough time to \u00a0observe the clouds using our imagination and find different shapes in the sky. \u00a0It was quite tricky and we soon discovered that everyone had different ideas. We took some pictures and printed them out. \u00a0Then we outlined the shapes that we could see to create our pictures.<\/p>\n

\u201cMine looks like a monster\u201d.<\/p>\n

Water play is always a favourite in Cart Mill. This week we\u00a0 have been engineers by working together to investigate how to connect the pipes and move the water from one place to another.\u00a0 We decided to construct a huge water slide and explored sending different volumes of water down the big slide to see who can make the biggest splash!<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is going to be the biggest slide\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe pipes need to go this way to catch the water\u201d<\/p>\n

Yet again we have had an exciting, fun filled week with lots of learning experiences. We can\u2019t wait to see what\u2019s in store for us next week. We hope you all have a lovely weekend\ud83e\udd73.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
