This week we decided we would use small blocks and loose parts to build our bridges.<\/span><\/p>\n

The children began exploring the different materials provided\u00a0 <\/span>and using their fine motor skill and hand and eye coordination\u00a0 <\/span>to connect the pieces together.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201c this is too heavy, it\u2019s going to fall.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is really hard\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMine is a bit wobbly\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The children used problem solving skills while exploring a variety of ways to ensure the creations did not fall apart. The children shared their thoughts and ideas with each other. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c I think the clips are too big and they bend\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c glue would be good\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201dmine are staying together\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dI like the pegs the best\u201d<\/p>\n

While building the children were discussing what they were creating and continued to share their thoughts and ideas.\u00a0 <\/span>They used mathematical language to describe their creations and had great concentration skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMine is strong and long\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am building a bridge which \u00a0is going going to be so long\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am going to build a big one for cars\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201dmine is for cars too\u201d<\/p>\n

We then decided we would check how strong our bridges were. and chose a car or person to put on it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u201c I have 3 cars on\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dI have 3 people\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dI have 3 cars and 8 people\u201d<\/p>\n
