We have been reading lots of stories this week and this has sparked some great ideas for the block area.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI want to make a big office like that, I will need lots of blocks.\u00a0My \u00a0mum goes to the office\u201d<\/p>\n

The children decided to choose their favourite book first and then make something from the book. We made a chart where each child ticked the side of their favourite book.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Fergus\u2019s Scary night was the favourite! They decided on making a dogs bed for \u2018Fergus\u2019 to hide when he is scared.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u201cIt\u2019s triangle and square beds, Fergus not scared in here\u201d. The children worked well together to build the dogs beds.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
\n\u201cWe are building the biggest train track like Thomas, and a bridge look we can go under too\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Finally, the children built some of the buildings and structures from the story \u2018All through the night\u2019. \u201cI\u2019m building \u00a0the digger with a snow shovel that can lift snow and rocks, it has a train track under it\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis ones mummy\u2019s office\u201d<\/p>\n

The children have loved creating things from their favour stories this week, using their imagination and problem solving to fit the pieces together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
