We started by reading the story and discussing the different characters then we set to work making them with the clay. We chose whether to make a 2D or a 3D model and discussed the best way to make the different features.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2023\/02\/C2E0F802-3732-4F8B-AC0B-F70387624A8B.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-23437\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2023\/02\/C2E0F802-3732-4F8B-AC0B-F70387624A8B-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n\u201cMy goat has huge horns!\u201d \u201cLook at my troll\u2019s legs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Once the clay had dried we painted them then left them to dry again ready for telling the story.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2023\/02\/6F363B21-BE89-46B5-B617-5B8162127AA4.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-23441 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2023\/02\/6F363B21-BE89-46B5-B617-5B8162127AA4-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Before starting our re-enactment of the story, we worked cooperatively to decide who would play each character and also compared the goats to determine which was the biggest and which the smallest. Then we were ready to get going\u2026.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2023\/02\/DE3AAA42-17DC-40FB-9D90-A7DE067D06F4.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-23434\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2023\/02\/DE3AAA42-17DC-40FB-9D90-A7DE067D06F4-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/>\u201c<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201dWho\u2019s that trip trapping over my bridge?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201dI\u2019m coming to eat you!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We had a great time telling the story and acting out each part with our models. We told the story many, many times, each time swapping which role we played and taking turns with our friends.
