This week in the studio, the children have been engaging in lots of imaginative and creative play, making lots of different suggestions for the clay table. The children were really excited to make fun festive decorations\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to make a snowman\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dgingerbread man\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dI like candy canes. I have them on my tree!\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We had lots of interesting ideas when making our clay decorations\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201dif you roll it into circles, that makes a snowman\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dmines is a melted snowman\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI need to make wee buttons. And eyes\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dhe\u2019s a jolly snowman!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to give him buttons\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dI have enough left over to make a snowman too!\u201d<\/p>\n

The children engaged their fine motor skills really well, shaping and moulding the clay and doing lots of rolling, cutting and mark making.<\/p>\n

\u201cit\u2019s Gingerbread Fred!\u201d<\/p>\n
