This week in the garden we have been exploring our sense of smell by using the herbs growing in our garden in different ways. <\/span><\/p>\n

Today we explored our senses further by using teabags to create our own art in the studio.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We started by using our sense of smell to make observations about the different kinds of tea. We discussed the different kind of scents and what they smelled like.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s mint\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt smells like toothpaste\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLike strawberry\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have mint in the garden\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

To create our masterpiece we placed the tea bags on paper and used spray bottles with water to wet the tea bags. This is an excellent way to developing our fine motor skills. As the teabags absorbed the water we squeezed them, painted with them and explored the mixing of the colours.\u00a0 <\/span>We also talked about the texture of the tea as the bags started to break apart.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels like sand\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLittle bits stick to me\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s soft\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI like mud in the garden\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The studio is now smelling very lovely, We all had lots of fun exploring our senses and creative skills. <\/span><\/p>\n
