<\/a><\/p>\nWe discussed what resources we would need and decided on:<\/p>\n
\u201cglue to stick things on\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201ccardboard or boxes to make the house\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201dscissors to cut things\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201dpens to draw windows and a door to get in\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201dmaterial, coloured paper and buttons to stick on\u201d<\/p>\n
We worked together to collect our resources and shared our thoughts on why we had chosen them.<\/p>\n \u201dI\u2019m choosing pink, it\u2019s my favourite colour\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201dMy favourite is red\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201dmy favourite is red too\u201d.<\/p>\n It was a bit tricky to cut the cardboard so we decided it would be safer if an adult used bigger scissors to cut it for us. \u00a0Using our smaller scissors helped us develop our fine motor skills, through cutting our paper, ribbon and wool. \u201cI\u2019m drawing windows. We need them up at the top, and at the bottom\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201dI\u2019m drawing a door so we can get in and out\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201dI need a chimney, it goes on the top on the roof\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201dI\u2019m writing number 23, that\u2019s the same as my house\u201d.<\/p>\n It was lots of fun choosing different materials to glue onto our houses. We used our knowledge to describe our materials and explain why we had chosen them.<\/p>\n \u201cI like this one, it looks like a picnic blanket!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201dI like the pink one. It\u2019s shiny and smooth\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201dThe green one is like a tree, it\u2019s fluffy\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201dThe ribbon looks like a tractor wheel\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201dThis one is black and white and it has flowers on it\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201dI love the blue one, it\u2019s bumpy and has sparkles on it\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201dI\u2019m putting buttons on. I like the colours\u201d.<\/p>\n The glue on our houses was still a bit wet, so we decided to put them up to dry.
