They can be created using different geometric shapes in the form of flowers, petals, stars or lanterns.<\/p>\n<p>Families celebrating Diwali create beautiful Rangoli patterns and place them near the entrance of their homes to welcome Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, in the hope this will bring them good luck and prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>We decided we would use our fabulous knowledge of shapes, patterns and positioning to create our very own Rangoli patterns. \u00a0We had a look to find some Rangoli patterns to give us some inspiration!<\/p>\n<p>It was lots of fun choosing which loose parts we would use to create our patterns. \u00a0Of course we had to make sure we \u00a0chose lots of different colours and the shiny shapes and coloured gems were definitely our favourites!<\/p>\n<p>Using the patterns as a guide, we carefully chose which loose part would fit best and carefully positioned them on our patterns.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/10\/8E946D7A-1C19-4887-BFBD-49A6277DCC25.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22537\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/10\/8E946D7A-1C19-4887-BFBD-49A6277DCC25-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n\u201cI\u2019m using the gem. It\u2019s a circle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201dI like the shiny shapes. That\u2019s one\u2019s a diamond.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201dI put the button in the middle.
