Today we used bubble wrap to further develop their interests.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/F0EF9CEA-1984-4CAE-A047-DBD49C2813C9-rotated.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22244\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/F0EF9CEA-1984-4CAE-A047-DBD49C2813C9-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe started with the different shaped rollers. We picked the colour of paint we wanted then got to work rolling the paint rollers across the bubble wrap.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/4B422DC7-6ED5-4A08-AE83-C76E2EE837F5-rotated.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22245\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/4B422DC7-6ED5-4A08-AE83-C76E2EE837F5-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe enjoyed listening to the pop of the bubbles as the rollers glided over. We spoke about the patterns our rollers were making onto the bubble wrap. \u201cCurvy\u201d and \u201czigzag\u201d ones are the favourites.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/46C2A995-4643-4CF4-89BE-AD510649DE19-rotated.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22246\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/46C2A995-4643-4CF4-89BE-AD510649DE19-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We like popping the bubbles with our hands and exploring the texture of the bubble wrap.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/306D9F03-92D0-4CB8-8737-8846786BFD60-rotated.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22247\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/306D9F03-92D0-4CB8-8737-8846786BFD60-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our activity soon took a change and became much more fun and sensory based as we used our hands to paint.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/BACB69BA-078D-45AB-B426-1FACDE986D50-rotated.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22248\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/BACB69BA-078D-45AB-B426-1FACDE986D50-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Much more fun! We decided the the bubble wrap was \u201cbumpy\u201d and the paint was \u201ccold\u201d and \u00a0\u201csmooth\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/8CBE2267-4218-4A70-A5E5-1EA076489403-rotated.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22249\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/8CBE2267-4218-4A70-A5E5-1EA076489403-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We tried different ways to pop the bubbles, with our fingers and our whole hands.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/CAA5F30A-677F-437D-AE0B-222F836358DC-rotated.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22250\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/CAA5F30A-677F-437D-AE0B-222F836358DC-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe used our hands to mix the colours together to make new colours and spread the paint all over the bubble wrap making it look colourful and bold.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/B51E13AA-5E4A-47EC-A759-2D8413E67516-rotated.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-22251\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/09\/B51E13AA-5E4A-47EC-A759-2D8413E67516-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe even tried printing our hands and the bubble wrap with corks to experiment with the sounds and shapes it would make.<\/p>\n<p>We had such fun with something so simple that inspired thought provoking questions from our children from 2-5 years. We enjoyed incorporating sensory experiences into our painting.
