Some of the ways we have been extending our mark making skills been using pastels, water paints and we experimented with marbling inks.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/08\/CC492202-8ADE-4351-99B3-9CDF895DA820.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21980\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/08\/CC492202-8ADE-4351-99B3-9CDF895DA820-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nMark making is a very important skill for our children to learn, but what is mark making? Mark making is a term used for the creation of different pattens, lines, textures and shapes. This can be done on a piece of paper, floor, outside in the garden or on an object or surface.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/08\/B508640E-1260-4FCA-8FCA-73F35A952584.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21981\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/08\/B508640E-1260-4FCA-8FCA-73F35A952584-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nMark making is a sensory and physical experience which can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities.<br \/>\nToday in the Studio we extended our mark making skills by using cardboard and a selection of mark making tools to create pictures of our favourite things.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/08\/D8B0CECE-7F41-4071-9B7A-EC2FF372B526-rotated.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21985\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/08\/D8B0CECE-7F41-4071-9B7A-EC2FF372B526-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe made race cars, ice creams, our family and our toys.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/08\/CB09BCA2-F159-4CCE-AFA7-04431FA53EE1-rotated.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21983\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/08\/CB09BCA2-F159-4CCE-AFA7-04431FA53EE1-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe enjoyed showing each other what we made, discussing what our favourite things were. \u00a0We were proud of the work we created.
