Today in the noisy and quiet room the children were keen to act out the story of Jack and the Beans<\/span>talk. <\/span><\/p>\n

First, we decided to read the story to familiarise ourselves with it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The children enjoyed re-telling their favourite parts in the story.<\/p>\n

\u201dFee-fi -foo-fum! Jack Pott, what have you done?<\/p>\n

\u201cFee – fi -Foo – fum, \u00a0I smell the blood of a Englishman. Be he alive, or be he dead, I\u2019ll use his bones to grind my bread.\u201d<\/p>\n

The children each chose a character to play in the story and we used the props to help us re- tell the story.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u201c want to be Jack so I can climb up the Beanstalk\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c I am the goose that lays the golden eggs, Jack you have to rescue me from the giant\u201d

\u201c I am Jack\u2019s mummy and I am going to throw the magic beans out the window \u201c<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cQuick chop the beanstalk, the giant is after me\u201d<\/p>\n

The children had so much fun acting and developing their language skills by expressing various characters dialogue in the story. <\/span><\/p>\n

They also developed\u00a0 <\/span>their social skills by expressing their characters feelings and showing respect through turn taking, co-operating and sharing with each other. <\/span><\/p>\n

Why not give it a try at home and re-tell your favourite story\u2019s or make one up. Have fun! <\/span>\ud83d\ude0a<\/span><\/p>\n
