Today in Cart Mill we decided we would like to make fairy cakes. We looked on the internet for a recipe and decided on vegan fairy cakes. Then, we collected all of our ingredients.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe definitely need flour, oat milk and sugar\u201d.<\/p>\n

We were able to use the scales to weigh out all the ingredients.<\/p>\n

\u201c I need 200ml of milk\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s only at 150ml, I need some more”.<\/p>\n

\u201c I think it needs more flour it\u2019s to sticky\u201d.<\/p>\n

We used our fabulous fine motor skills to stir and then transfer the cake mixture into paper cases.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very messy and slimy\u201d.<\/p>\n

We put our cakes in the oven for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can do the timer for ten minutes”.<\/p>\n

We were delighted when we took the cakes out of the oven and they were golden brown. Next, it was time to make the icing!\u00a0 We discussed what colours we would like to use.<\/p>\n

\u201c I want mine red because that\u2019s my favourite colour “.<\/p>\n

\u201c I want mine blue, like the sky”.<\/p>\n
