<\/a><\/p>\nAfter having a look at the seeds the children asked to plant \u00a0the sunflower seeds.<\/p>\n
We read about \u00a0the life cycle of a sunflower then \u00a0gathered together our plant pots, soil, trowels and seeds then set to work.<\/p>\n
\u201cwe need to leave room for the seed\u201d<\/p>\n \u201dthe seed got stripes\u201d<\/p>\n After carefully planting our seeds we filled our watering can to give the seeds a drink before we very carefully carried them to the greenhouse.<\/p>\n \u201cseeds need water and \u00a0sun to grow\u201d<\/p>\n We are so lucky to have received a donation of sunflower seeds from Barrhead Garden Tidy team. \u00a0The team worked hard to harvest seeds from their own sunflowers which they have carefully packaged with sowing instructions on them.<\/p>\n We have used our excellent mark making skills to create some planting instructions and a lovely\u00a0Sunflower display at our front door. \u00a0Please feel free to take a packet of seeds.<\/p>\n We would love you to share your photos of your sunflowers growing with us. \u00a0Why not ask the children to measure them and we can have \u00a0a competition to see who\u2019s sunflower grows the tallest!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Here at Cart Mill we were very lucky to have received our good to grow package from Morrison\u2019s, thank you to all the parents who supported us with this.
