We gathered together some of our planks of wood and different materials we could use to test and explore different types of forces.<\/p>\n<p>The children took turns and predicted what ramp would be the fastest. We found the higher the ramp was, the faster the car would travel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201chigh one is the best ,it&#8217;s the fastest\u201d<br \/>\n\u201dIt is speedy\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201dWatch mine zoom\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We added bubble wrap to one ramp to see how it affected the speed of the cars travelling down them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/03\/4C09A3ED-F966-429F-9D4B-2385AD71960C.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-20488\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/03\/4C09A3ED-F966-429F-9D4B-2385AD71960C-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe found that adding the bubble wrap this would make our cars slower and not travel so far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThis makes it go too slow\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201dLook how far mine went\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201dMy one is the fastest now\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To investigate time and distance further, we used a stop watch to time our cars travelling and a tape measure to see how far they could go.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/03\/C51F53DC-502E-44E4-9617-24A3DF379493.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-20489\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/files\/2022\/03\/C51F53DC-502E-44E4-9617-24A3DF379493-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Why not explore this at home!
