Welcome to the Dough Disco.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The dough disco is a fun way for our children to combine play dough and a series of hand and finger exercises designed to improve fine muscle control. \u00a0These exercises help prepare for writing \u00a0and pencil control.<\/p>\n

Today the children chose Let It Go for our disco song.
\nOur first move was \u201csqueeze\u201d. We used each hand one at a time to warm up our hands.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Next move was \u201cball it\u201d we had to use the palm of our hands to roll the playdough into a ball.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Next was \u201csmack it\u201d. We had to use our hands to smack the playdough flat into our other hand.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Up next was \u201csingle fingers\u201d we had to take each of our fingers one by one and press them onto the playdough.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Lastly we made a \u201csausage\u201d we had to roll the playdough \u00a0between our hands.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Each dough disco move was in time to our music and the experience lasts as long as the song does. It\u2019s a quick fun way to strengthen our finger muscles. It\u2019s harder than it looks!
