They have a resource page with a wealth of support available via local and national organisations as well as helplines and programmes for all families. Please speak to Val MacLean or click on the link for more information regarding Family First: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk\/family-first-information-resource\">https:\/\/www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk\/family-first-information-resource<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Psychology of Parenting Project The Psychology of Parenting Project (PoPP) is aimed at improving the availability of high-quality evidence-based parenting programmes for families with young children who have elevated levels of behaviour problems. PoPP courses are currently running across East Renfrewshire. Within our centre you can speak to your child\u2019s key worker, or Val MacLean, Depute Head of Centre. The link below will take you to our website for more information on the PoPP programme. <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/parent-information\/supportfor-parents\/\">https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/parent-information\/supportfor-parents\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Should you require any further support, please do not hesitate to contact the Centre or speak to your child&#8217;s keyworker at drop off, pick up times.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Healthy Snacks and Hot Lunches<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nWe are a health promoting centre and as such we will only provide children with healthy snacks and drinks. Our snacks will consist mainly of fruit but we will develop a varied snack menu in consultation with the children.<\/p>\n<p>At snack times we will provide children with water or milk to drink.<br \/>\nThe children aged 3-5 years are entitled to a hot lunch and so are some of our 2 year old children. The lunches are prepared by our cook, Gillian, and consist of two courses. The lunch menu is displayed in our window and is available on our website.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/lunches\/\">https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/cartmill\/lunches\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If your child is bringing a packed lunch we ask that you supply them healthy lunch.\u00a0 Most children bring a sandwich or wrap, fruit, yoghurt and some bring soup or pasta in a flask.\u00a0 Please do not include sweets, chocolate, biscuits, sugary or fizzy drinks. Please also include an ice pack in your child&#8217;s lunch box.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Allergies and Medical Conditions<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nPlease speak to a member of staff if your child has an allergy or medical condition as soon as you can. We do have forms for you to complete when your child starts with us, but this information helps us to plan effectively for your child so that they make a smooth transition.<\/p>\n<p>Cart Mill Family Centre is a <strong>nut<\/strong> and <strong>kiwi free zone<\/strong>.\u00a0 Please do not give your child any nut based products such as pesto, nut based cereals, nutella or peanut butter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At Cart Mill we believe it is important to work with our children and families to find ways to support health and wellbeing.
