The children were busy this week in the garden being scientists. They decided that they wanted to make a volcano! So we got our thinking caps on and thought of all the ingredients we would need. The children worked as a team and used their problem solving skills throughout the experiment. First we poured in the baking soda then food colouring and last but not least the vinegar, which was the children’s favourite part as it was eruption time!
Science experiments for children have huge benefits. It ignites their natural curiosity, develops problem solving skills and introduces new language through discussion.
