The children have been exploring the studio and getting creative. The children are able to express themselves through music and visual arts.
Today we have been busy creating collage pictures using various materials, cutting with scissors and using glue sticks.
We are all enjoying painting at the easel.
Can you hear us singing and playing musical instruments?
We know that it is hard when you can’t come in to the centre and see your children playing so for the next couple of weeks, staff are going to showcase what is going on in their rooms and what the children are all up to during their day at Cart Mill. Today, some of the boys and girls took part in a French session with Val. Camembear, our slightly mischievous French bear came to visit the children. We discovered how to say hello bonjour and my name is Je m’appelle as well as goodbye au revoir. Please use these words at home with the children! Click on the link to see some of the French session in action.
From today we will be sharing the learning and play that is happening in our playrooms and in the outdoors. It is unfortunate that our parents and carers are not able to come inside and see what their child is learning but we hope to share some of that with you on our blog.
On Friday, we had our first Forest School session and it was muddy fun for all as you can see in these photos.
