Fine motor development.

Please click the link above to see a child very engaged in his creation and new skill.

Developing our fine motor skills is when we use experiences to strengthen little muscles in our children’s hands and allow them to become more aware of Hand eye and finger coordination. Strengthening these muscles at an early level will support them to hold a pen and pencil appropriately in later life.

As a new challenge for some of our children we have started using our fine motor skills to sew. This is a very delicate task that requires a lot of patience, concentration and creativity.

There have been children concentrating for long periods of time on their project. Some children have asked for these to be displayed in their learning journeys as they feel very proud of their creation.
