This morning we were making things with paper in our zone time. We used scissors, glue and our imaginations to make different things.
Harris made a bag and drew a monster on it.
Luke made a huge whistle.
Finlay made a paper crown and cuffs.
Some parents had asked how to help their child practise the sounds if children do not have their Snake Books at the moment.
Please click on the link to find a PowerPoint which has all the single sounds (plus qu) which you can use with your child.
P1 have been very busy this week preparing for Christmas! They have been wrapping presents, decorating our tree and making their own gift tags, cards and crafts. Everyone has been practising their scissor skills and fine motor skills to get the presents neatly wrapped!
Primary 1 have been learning all about Stranger Danger today.
We had a visit from a Police Officer who spoke to us all about how to stay safe. We learnt never to go with strangers and we practised what we would do if we were ever in that situation – Run, Yell and Tell! We talked about people we could trust to tell. Our ideas included mums and dads, police officers, firefighters and our teachers.
The photos below show us practising our Running, Yelling and Telling. We were very loud!
We are ready for Outdoor learning.
We are learning about 2D shapes so we went on a Shape Hunt outdoors.
The boys and girls in P1a and P1b have been really busy this week exploring our Halloween Investigation Station! We have been hunting for spiders in the jelly, using Halloween pasta to make patterns, using spooky cutters to mould playdoh and having-a-go at writing using our Halloween word mat.
Have a look at the pictures below to see what else we’ve been up to!
