We had another very busy week in Primary 6 last week! Little chefs from Miss Taylor’s Food Technology Skills Academy were responsible for preparing and serving the food at Busby’s first ever Burns Supper on Wednesday. No mean feat considering that the meal was to serve around sixty paying guests and invited V.I.P.s! On the day of the supper, Miss Taylor worked with us to make the lentil soup. After school, Sereena, Susannah, Kristin, Sophie and Noor (P6/7) went to the kitchen at Williamwood to prepare the haggis, neeps, tatties and Cranachan for dessert. A big thank you to the catering staff that supported us with this – Debbie (WWHS) and our very own Linda and Jane. Have a look at the photos below.
On the evening of the supper, a number of our class took to the stage to entertain the guests. Harriet and Natasha gave The Address to the Haggis, Freya gave The Selkirk Grace, Emma and Jennifer gave their reply to The Toast to the Lassies and Adam performed Tam O’Shanter. Many more were involved in the highland dancing, the signing for The Selkirk Grace and the choir. I think that you did Rabbie proud!
