HOUSE DAY

We thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the House event today. The house captains and sports leaders organised some fantastic activities for us in our new MUGA.

I enjoyed running, balancing the bean bag and throwing the hoop.

I enjoyed everything!

I enjoyed all the activities.

I liked doing the activities. The one I liked the best was the obstacle  course.

I really liked the golf activity.

I enjoyed the activities. My favourite one was skipping along the ladder.

I like the football activity because I scored a goal each time.

LIBRARY VISIT

The children enjoyed their trip to the library a few weeks ago. Peter, the librarian welcomed the class into the library where they enjoyed listening to a couple of stories. The children each chose a book to take back to school to read.

We will visit the library every 3 week to change our books.

Niko – It was fun!

Anise – I liked it when Peter read one of the stories really fast.

Callum – It was fun choosing a good book.

MATHS WEEK

During Maths Week Scotland (10-16th September) the children participated in many different activities to engage in and understand the importance of maths in our everyday lives.

Sophie – Maths week was fun because we did lots of maths.

Jack W – I liked going on the iPads.

Poppy – I liked the maths activity stations. It was fun and it was good to learn maths in different ways.

The children played a mental maths game which involved a lot of dancing!

The children discussed how maths is used in different jobs.

The children participated in a data handling activity when completing the Hands Up Survey.
