Mrs McLean joins p2b

What a busy first week back at Busby,  we enjoyed lots of learning in the classroom, visited the library on Wednesday and sports day on Thursday. Here is a few snapshots from our week.

International Week

Today at assembly we shared what we had learned during International week. We showed our paper pizza plates and we told the other children what we had learned. We used clear loud voices to share our learning with the school.

International Week

During International week we have been learning about Italy.  Luke’s mum Mrs Anderson came in to tell us all about when she lived in Sicily. We learned how to sing happy birthday and we found out there is still an active volcano in Sicily.

Money Money Money!

This week in maths we have been focusing on money. We have been learning about coin equivalences and counting coins up to £1. Below are some children completing a task using plastic coins to try and make 50p in several different ways.

Crazy Coding

Last term we learned all about coding. We had to drag the blocks with directions to make a script for the Squirrel to get its nuts. We used the Chromebooks to play these games on www.code.org.
