On Friday 29 January, our school held a Scotland-themed assembly. On the 25 of January it was Robert Burns’ the anniversary of birthday, so each class decided to perform a Scottish song, or some Scottish poetry. We also had some girls who did some fabulous Highland dancing.
You can listen to our performance here. Both primary 5 classes sang together. We are very proud of our work.
Today, 11 December, our school held a Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children. Last week, we had a visit from a Save the Children volunteer (Mrs Strang) who told us all about the work that the charity does for children and their families all over the world.
She told us that a £1 donation is enough to buy two small sachets of Plumpy Nut, which is a high protein food that can save the life of a child.
Today, we all wore our Christmas jumpers and made a donation to the charity. We had fun while helping save other children around the world.
