Collage Bottles

In Art, we learned how to create a collage still life picture of a selection of bottles using tissue paper. Collage comes from the French word for glue.

First, we folded our tissue paper and drew half a bottle on it, then cut it out. When we opened up the shape, we had a whole symmetrical bottle. We made seven differently shaped bottles in either hot (red, orange, pink and yellow) colours or cold (blue, green purple and turquoise) colours.

Then we arranged our bottles on our background until we thought it looked attractive. Some of our bottles overlapped.  When we were happy with it, we stuck our bottles in place using diluted glue. When our picture were dry, we drew around the outline of each bottle in black pen.

We are very pleased with our work – they all look fabulous! Everyone’s picture is going on the classroom wall!Fraser bottlesElise bottlesEwan bottlesAimee bottles
