Miss Hamilton works with the Eco Committee to create, complete and evaluate the annual Action Plan.
Below are the targets on our 2015 -16 Eco Schools Action Plan.
Our three targets were Litter, Energy and School Grounds.
Energy
- To encourage school members to save energy.
- To take part in EDF Energy Week.
- To create an energy checklist to ensure all energy sources are switched off during holidays.
- To run events in school to raise awareness of Waste Electrical Equipment.
School Grounds
- To install painted playground games in our school.
- To acquire funding for future projects.
- To plant a tree to celebrate 50 years of Cross Arthurlie.
- To create a plan to maintain the school grounds.
- To start a gardening club.
Litter
- To maintain whole school litter picking system.
- To hold ‘Littter-free’ days in school.
- To create a litter policy.
- To obtain new bins inside or outside school to encourage people to throw rubbish away.
