Together we are getting it right for every child

This website is for AAC users, their families and the people who support them.

We aim to better support children and young people in their communication to bring about better learning  Click here for our communication pathway.

We hope to share with you lots of ideas and resources to help your child who requires to use Augmentative (adds to) and  Alternative (replaces) Communication. AAC can also help the user’s understanding, as well as provide a means of expression.

At Isobel Mair School we have 2 AAC Champions, 2 PECS Champions and 2 Makaton Champions.

This will be a joint venture with staff, parents, carers and pupil.
All ideas and suggestions will  be gratefully received to help build up a knowledge base and share with the wider community.
