S2 Go4Set

On Tuesday 27 February, six S2 pupils attended the Go4SET Celebration and Assessment Day for pupils across the West of Scotland. The team had visited to their mentor company ‘Baker Hicks’ and with the help of their mentor, gathered many ideas for materials, architectural design and cost efficiency. They set up a stand to showcase their idea for an energy efficient sports gym called ‘Aerobicized’. As the judges walked around, our pupils presented their weeks of hard work, including an interactive app and website page which they designed. They expertly answered any questions asked of them and displayed a representative model, built with the help of the Design and Technology Department. The day was a huge success and our team even got an honorary mention for how professional their final report looked! The pupils are going to share their experience with the pupils of Busby Primary School this Friday as part of their STEM week.  Well done!
