Pupil Achievement

Michael (S2) is a keen conservationist and wildlife photographer who has recently completed a fundraising initiative by building and selling over 100 nest boxes to raise over £1000 for three wildlife charities (the RSPB, Scottish Wildlife Trust and British Trust for Ornithology).  More information about Michael’s amazing achievements can be found on his website here.  Michael is also donating nest boxes to local schools and parks.  Michael is delivering a presentation to his former Primary School, Carolside, about his project this afternoon.  Well done Michael!

Young Singer of the Year

On Thursday 8 February, the Performing Arts Department’s annual Young Singer of the Year event took place in the school library.  A large number of parents, friends and pupils turned out to listen to our thirteen finalists. Our judges, Christine Badger and Lynne Fyfe, were delighted to announce the following pupils as the winners:
Junior
Elena (S3)
Senior
Eilidh (S5)
Rising Star
Holly (S1)

It was a fantastic evening of exceptionally high talent.  Many thanks to everyone who supported the event and congratulations to the winners.
