S3 and S5 pupils participating in Williamwood High School’s first ever Game Jam
The BICT department ran Williamwood’s first ever Game Jam in the library last week. The Game Jam involves S3 and S5 Computing Science pupils getting together to make a game in a day working in teams. They make the game, graphics, sounds, storylines etc. The Game Jam is a global event and I think we are the first high school ever to get involved.

Over the course of the week students are given the opportunity to sit in on consultations, go to theatre and are exposed to a wide range of specialities and levels of clinicians.
Medic Insight have announced on their Facebook page that they will be opening up online applications week commencing 19 February, closing date 25 February, for their week long programmes taking place in June.
If you are thinking of applying for medicine, and have not yet secured any work experience then this programme is for you. You are advised to write this date in your planner and set a reminder on your phone for 19 February to apply.
Application is by means of filling out an application form online which includes providing predicted grades and short statements in support of your application. A school referee is asked to provide confirmation of statements made in all applications and applications will not be considered without it.
For all enquiries relating to the programme, please email medicinsightglasgow@gmail.com or visit www.facebook.com/MedicInsightGlasgow
