As this term draws to an end, we have celebrated the conclusion of of our ever popular intergenerational project T in The Street. Pupils in S5 have surpassed themselves this year, with their boundless energy, enthusiasm and commitment in working with the older members of the group. A huge thank you, once again, to our fantastic partners The Richmond Fellowship Scotland – Dementia Services, who have supported all of the older members at school each week, and helped nurture our pupils in developing caring and compassionate relationships with all of their clients. It has been a pleasure to watch individual and group relationships flourish, with the pupils developing a wide range of skills for life.
The school show this year, Beauty and the Beast’, was another stunning production of the timeless musical, with outstanding performances put on by our actors. A big thank you to the performing arts faculty, who coordinated and managed the musical, and provided a live musical accompaniment to the songs. Also thank you to our pupils who acted and sang with great talent, or helped out from behind the scenes with props, lighting, scene changes etc. The production was a another huge success.
This Friday (15th December), our Junior Choir will be singing in Buchanan Galleries to support the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity in their Christmas gift wrapping fundraiser. Pupils will be performing outside John Lewis from 12pm-1pm if any parent would like to pop along and support the choir whilst getting into the Christmas spirit!
