Congratulations to both Holly and Yasmin (S4) who completed work experience with Healthcare Improvement Scotland. As a part of their work experience, both pupils were involved in the creation of a volunteering booklet which has now been published and distributed widely in the organisation. Both pupils made valuable contributions to this important piece of work and have been credited on the back page. Well done! The booklet can be viewed here.
On Wednesday 11 November the school hosted an evening to commemorate Armistice Day. As a part of this, we held a raffle in order to raise money for Erskine, a care home which caters for veterans. We had a wide variety of prizes including a rugby ball and shirt signed by the Glasgow Warriors. In addition, the F&TT department sold handmade crotched poppies. We would like to thank everyone for their support with this fundraising event which raised £223.85.

Congratulations to the Communication Support Service who raised an amazing £650 for Scottish Autism during the Christmas Fair fundraiser in December. The pupils in the service worked exceptionally well to create and sell handmade decorations and home baking at the sale on Friday 4 December, which was a great success! Well done to Sean, Zinnia (S4), Matthew, Cormac and Harun from the S3 personal development class for their amazing work. In addition, the CSS organised a raffle, auction and a ‘guess Rudolph’s birthday’ to help raise funds. We would like to express our sincere thanks all those who supported the fundraiser and to all the local businesses who generously donated prizes for the raffle.
