S3 Pupil Achievement

S3 pupil achievementCongratulations to Cameron (S3) who has recently qualified for the  3-star white water certification and is now one of only 10 kayakers under the age of 16 to do so. Cameron attends the Eastwood and East Kilbride Canoe Club and only three months after he reached the minimum age limit of 14, he passed the tests needed to achieve this. This is a fantastic achievement  and Cameron and his family are very proud. Well done!

Celebrating ‘T in The Street’

Group PhotoThis week marked the end of our hugely successful intergenerational project ‘T in The Street’. The group celebrated the occasion with a tea party, with entertainment provided by members of the group – young and old. Representatives from the school’s Senior Management Team, East Renfrewshire Council and members of the older peoples families all enjoyed the occasion. This event gave an insight into the work the group completed over the last 13 weeks. Everyone who attended received a copy of the digital scrap book created over the course of the project entitled “Our stories, our lives, our way”, a memento the group will treasure. The group would like to thank everyone involved, especially Lorraine Bruce from The Richmond Fellowship for making this partnership happen and we look forward to working together again.
