Question Time

On Thursday 26 November, Williamwood held its annual Question Time event in The Street.  The panel consisted of Patrick Harvie (co-convenor of the Scottish Green Party and MSP for the Glasgow region), Baroness Goldie of Bishopton (MSP for the West of Scotland region), Ken Macintosh (constituency MSP for Eastwood), David Coburn (MEP for the Scotland region for the UK Independence Party) and Jamie (S6 pupil and performing arts depute).   Unfortunately due to a parliamentary debate, the rt. Hon. Kirsten Oswald (SNP MP for Renfrewshire East) was unable to attend and was replaced by Saffron Dickson (SNP Student’s National Equalities Co-ordinator).  We would like to thank the advanced higher modern studies class, modern studies staff, janitorial staff and Mr Sudding, who all played a part in the organisation of the event.  A special thank you to Mrs Monaghan who chaired the debate.   The evening was well attended with many Williamwood pupils and parents asking questions.  Everyone enjoyed an evening of thought provoking political debate and are already looking forward to next year’s instalment.
