Diana Award Winners

Congratulations to three Williamwood pupils who have been awarded the Diana Champion Volunteer award. Rebecca (S6) received the Diana Award for being a Diana Champion Volunteer in her local community. Rebecca has volunteered in the Food and Textile Department since August 2014. Rebecca originally assisted with 6 periods but as the week progressed she quickly became a valuable asset to the department and now assists with over 12 periods a week. James (S4) received the award after volunteering at the Glasgow Disabled Scouts. James has volunteered at the Glasgow Disabled Scouts for almost two years and has made a fantastic contribution to the work they do, helping both at their weekly Monday night sessions and their summer camp programmes. Bethany (S6) has volunteered at Isobel Mair School assisting the children and taking part in their day to day activities at school. The school has highlighted Bethany as being particularly caring towards the pupils who rely on the help of adults and volunteers alike. Congratulations to all pupils.
