When the Malawi group visited Encongolweni, they were involved in helping to build a new nursery. This project was undertaken as the nursery was destroyed in storms and children were being educated under a tree, or not at all. Our pupils raised £11,000 to help with this project. Attendance at nursery is vital as children are then able to access the Mary’s Meals kitchen which ensures that they are guaranteed to receive one meal a day. We have now received an update on the progress of the nursery which can be viewed here.
