Williamwood pupils once again struck gold at the Scottish Indoor School Championships with excellent performances from all our athletes, most of whom achieved personal best times. Special mentions go to Iona Menzies (S4) who was the under 16 champion in the 60m hurdles and also achieved a pb in the high jump. Rachel Alexander (S5) also triumphed in two events, the over 16 200m and long jump. David Allen (S3) was also successful and struck gold in the under 16 400m. Other notable performances came from Max Lancaster (S5), Tayyib Reid (S4) and Calum Alexander (S2). Overall it was a day of outstanding achievement by Williamwood athletes with 12 pupils achieved new personal best times. All pupils who attended the championships should be congratulated on their performances.
