Art and design visit to exhibition

Students studying Higher and Advanced Higher art and design were among 4,000 visitors to the Collins Gallery last Friday. On display were folios from last year’s Advanced Higher students from all over Scotland, including three from Williamwood; Euan Christie; Nicola Turnbull and Ruth Martin. The pieces, which were selected during the official SQA marking, demonstrated the wide range of skills covered by this course including creativity, problem solving, communication and analysis. In addition to examples of traditional drawing and painting, a wide range of design was exhibited such as architecture, fashion, graphics and jewellery. <gallery>
