S1 & S2 Masterchef Competition

On Wednesday, some of our S1 and S2 pupils took part in Williamwood’s Masterchef Competition in the Food and Textile Technology Department. Participants were required to prepare and serve a two course meal. The standard of food presented by the entrants was extremely high and dishes were judged by a panel of 6th year deputes, staff and former pupil, Nicole Finnie, who is a professional chef in the five star restaurant at Hotel Du Vin.

Our congratulations go to Eve Hammond who was awarded 1st place, Reece McKay (2nd place) and Sophie Boyle (3rd place). Well done to all the pupils who to took part  in the competition and thanks to the S6 F&TT deputes for organising the competition and making it such a success.

S2 Craft Club Remembrance Display

Pupils from the S2 Craft Club created a poignant WW1 Centenary Memorial for this year’s Remembrance Day display. The display included 100 crochet poppies and camouflage bunting which were displayed along with WW1 phrase books created by S2 pupils in Modern Languages and diaries from pupils in History.  Pupils with family members who served in WW1 also contributed photos and certificates to the display.
