\"SSPCA\"<\/a>Sally from the Scottish SPCA came to talk to the boys and girls today about the dangers of feeding your pets chocolate and sweets and Christmas time.\u00a0 The foods are poisonous to your pets and should NOT be given to your pets as a treat.<\/p>\n

Sally talked to us about looking after a pet and how it is not ideal to give someone an animal\u00a0as a present at Christmas.\u00a0 There\u00a0are\u00a0many unwanted animals who end up at the SSPCA as their owners realise they might not\u00a0have the time or energy\u00a0to look after them once the excitement of Christmas is over.\u00a0 Pets are hard work and require a lot of time, effort and money if they are to be looked after properly.\u00a0 Sally also spoke to us about what we should do if we see a\u00a0animal in distress.\u00a0 We should NOT attempt to save an animal ourselves.\u00a0 Instead, we should leave it alone and tell an adult as soon as possible.\u00a0 The adult should then call 03000 999 999\u00a0<\/strong>and a trained SSPCA officer will come and deal with the animal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
