The Eco School committee at Uplawmoor Primary school is made up of pupils from each class. All pupils who are interested in being on the committee make a presentation to their class on why they would be a good Eco Committee member. Pupils are then elected to represent their class at meetings.
At the first meeting, the members vote for a chairperson, a treasurer, a minute secretary, school reporters and a publicity team. Each member has a very important role to play in the running of the Eco- Committee.
The Eco Committee is responsible for making the school aware of environmental issues. The committee do this through organising projects, presenting to the whole school at assemblies, making posters for the school and organising an Eco-Week.
