Learning in health and wellbeing ensures that children and young people develop the knowledge and understanding, skills, capabilities and attributes which they need for mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing now and in the future.
Health and Wellbeing isn’t a single subject, it is organised into the following areas:
- Mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing
- Planning for choices and changes
- Physical education, physical activity and sport
- Food and health
- Substance misuse
- Relationships, sexual health and parenthood
All pupils receive a minimum of 2 hours of PE each week. A specialist PE teacher, based at Eastwood High School, teaches our pupils for two periods every week and class teachers another. Information on appropriate clothing for PE can be found on the School Uniform page of this website.
