{"id":3786,"date":"2015-12-09T14:03:44","date_gmt":"2015-12-09T13:03:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StThomas\/?p=3786"},"modified":"2015-12-09T14:03:44","modified_gmt":"2015-12-09T13:03:44","slug":"national-parent-forum-of-scotland-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StThomas\/2015\/12\/09\/national-parent-forum-of-scotland-4\/","title":{"rendered":"National Parent Forum of Scotland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please click on this link <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.scot\/Publications\/2015\/09\/7802\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">http:\/\/www.gov.scot\/Publications\/2015\/09\/7802<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000\">to read the details of the National Improvement Framework launched by the Scottish Government.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Government are keen to progress all of the parts of the Framework however the pace of the development of the Framework is incredibly fast including the strand that will see the outcome of the national standardised assessments.\u00a0 The next stage in the process is the development of a data Dashboard that will contain specific school \/ local information on the outcomes following the full implementation of the Framework.<\/p>\n<p>The Forum has been asked to seek parents views and comments on the proposed Dashboard which will be available to primary and secondary schools and will detail how well the school and its young people are meeting the objectives of the Framework.\u00a0 Among other things, parents are being asked what should the aims of the dashboard be, its purpose and whether it should be \u201clocked\u201d at a school level or whether there should be a notional comparator, similar to Insight.\u00a0 The Forum has compiled a number of questions for parents and this will be in the form of a\u00a0 DoodlePoll and I will issue this to you once it is completed.<\/p>\n<p>It is important that parents get the opportunity to discuss the proposed dashboard as a group and accordingly the Forum has arranged a meeting on Wednesday 16 December at 7pm at Holyrood Secondary in Glasgow to seek parents views and I hope that you can make it.\u00a0 It is important that the Scottish Government get as many parental views as possible given the importance of our views and especially given the expectations placed upon parents by the Framework.\u00a0 We hope to see you there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please click on this link http:\/\/www.gov.scot\/Publications\/2015\/09\/7802\u00a0to read the details of the National Improvement Framework launched by the Scottish Government.
