Many thanks to everyone who has already contributed to our recognising achievement space. You can enter as many achievements per child as you wish! We will then share these achievements at assemblies.
Gaining recognition for the wide range of achievements can increase pupil confidence, raise their aspirations, improve motivation for learning and keep them engaged in education. It is important that we recognise and celebrate achievements in all contexts for learning, through:
- the ethos and life of the school as a community
- curriculum areas and subjects
- interdisciplinary learning
- opportunities for personal achievement.
To help us gather this information on pupils’ personal achievements, I would ask you to follow the link below and provide the information required:
This link will remain live throughout session 2015-2016. You can add achievements as often as required by entering your child’s name, class and details of their achievement.
In the event of adverse weather conditions we have clear procedures in place to ensure safety and continuity for our children. Please take time to familiarise yourself with both information specific to St Thomas’ and also information about East Renfrewshire.

Many thanks to all of you who sent in goods for the hampers and also to anyone who bought a ticket . The fantastic sum of £362 has been raised! Many thanks to our Parent Council/PTA for organising and putting the hampers together.
On Tuesday 22nd December at 11.30am we will hold our Advent Mass in St Thomas’ Church. This will also be a Mass of thanksgiving for Mrs Barr who retires from St Thomas’ Primary after 25 years of service to the school and community. All parents, carers and friends welcome.
Inconsiderate and illegal parking on the roads, pavements and car parks in and around the school risks the safety of children and adults who accompany them to school.
We require co-operation from all parents/carers to minimise the risk of accidents and avoid congestion.
Please be considerate to our neighbours when parking in streets surrounding the school.
*No children should be passing through the school car park at any time*
Please reinforce this message with your children
Many thanks for your cooperation
Reminder: Our Christmas Fayre takes place this Saturday 5th December from 10am-12 noon. Please come along and support your school!
Reminder: There is a Mass of Enrolment for P6 children who are taking part in the Pope Francis Faith Award. Mass is this Sunday (22nd) In St Thomas’ Church at 11am. Children should wear school uniform if possible. It would be really beneficial if as many children as possible can attend. Many thanks for your support.
