{"id":29341,"date":"2023-04-24T14:12:36","date_gmt":"2023-04-24T13:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/?p=29341"},"modified":"2023-04-24T14:13:32","modified_gmt":"2023-04-24T13:13:32","slug":"sqa-examination-prayer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/sqa-examination-prayer\/","title":{"rendered":"SQA Examination Prayer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>by Bishop Stephen McGill<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Dear Lord, please help me in my examinations.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Help me to face them with courage,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>steady in nerves and keen in mind.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Please help me to grasp fully<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>the questions that are asked,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>to remember all that I have studied,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>to express my answers accurately<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>and with the completeness desired.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Grant me dear Lord, a due sense of timing,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>and let me not waste precious minutes in<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>useless asides and unwanted digressions.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Before I hand in my papers,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Give me the wisdom<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>to examine what I have written,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>and the alertness of mind to detect<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>and correct any mistakes I may have made.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Lord grant me success<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>if success is good for me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But I know that you know what is best for me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>With loving trust therefore I say,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Whatever the results,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>blessed be Your holy will.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Bishop Stephen McGill &nbsp; Dear Lord, please help me in my examinations.
