{"id":28448,"date":"2022-02-15T23:10:46","date_gmt":"2022-02-15T22:10:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/?p=28448"},"modified":"2022-02-15T23:13:05","modified_gmt":"2022-02-15T22:13:05","slug":"young-persons-free-bus-travel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/young-persons-free-bus-travel\/","title":{"rendered":"Young Persons\u2019 Free Bus Travel"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>All young people living in Scotland aged between 5 and 21 years will be eligible for free bus travel within Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Children will be able to access free bus travel on registered bus services across Scotland including a very limited number of local cross-border services from the south of Scotland into northern England.<\/p>\n<p>To obtain free bus travel young people aged between 5 and 21 years old will need to apply for a Young Scot National Entitlement Card.<\/p>\n<p>The card has an electronic chip inside it. When a child gets on a bus, the bus driver will ask them to tap the card against a card reader.
