Every week they will explore a new training method and they will also be given nutritional information by their teacher.<\/p>\n<p>This project aims to create a link and understanding of how diet and training can not only impact pupils in a sporting context but, how it can have an impact on their day to day life as well as their school life. Pupils will develop an understanding of the 3 major food groups (Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fats) and each week they will learn about the benefits of each food group.<\/p>\n<p>Pupils will be asked to keep a training diary throughout the block and at the end they will look to put their learning and training into practice by competing in a cross country race, \u00a0trying to beat their initial score that they achieved at the beginning of the block.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>S1 pupils are participating in an IDL project focussed on physical fitness and nutrition.
