{"id":27308,"date":"2021-03-17T07:00:12","date_gmt":"2021-03-17T06:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/?p=27308"},"modified":"2021-03-14T18:21:29","modified_gmt":"2021-03-14T17:21:29","slug":"wednesday-reflection-34","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/wednesday-reflection-34\/","title":{"rendered":"WEDNESDAY REFLECTION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Mid-week Reflection<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">17<sup>th<\/sup> March 2021<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>How can I not speak about Saint Patrick whose feast day is today?\u00a0 After escape from kidnapping and a return to Ireland, there he remained for the rest of his life building up the Kingdom of the Lord against the pagan rulers.\u00a0 It must have seemed a daunting task.\u00a0 I wonder if he read the Gospel appointed for tomorrow where, in St Luke, we read that the harvest is great but the labourers are few and thought, how right that was.\u00a0 Like a bishop saying, I have thirty three churches but I don\u2019t have thirty three active priests or an archbishop saying, I have ninety one churches but I don\u2019t have ninety one active priests.\u00a0 What would Jesus do?\u00a0 Well, he appointed seventy two others and sent them out to prepare for His work.\u00a0 Who were these people?\u00a0 We don\u2019t really know apart from Joseph called Barsabbas and Matthias.\u00a0 The others, called by the Lord, were people\u2026..like all of you!
